This market operation is held from October 2017 to March 2018. It will distribute 75 tons of rice with Rp 8,100 as the highest retail price per kilogram.

Agriculture Minister, Amran Sulaiman added, recently his side encourages to change plant pattern and increase rice production. Such as in this dry season, four million hectares of rice field have entered standing crop phase.
"We can do harvest around 12 million tons in total. It is enough for five to six months. While January is rainy season, there will be massive harvest," he affirmed.
While Trade Minister, Enggartiasto Lukita stated, his side could know the latest condition with certainty through this strong coordination. Together with stakeholders, his side can implement appropriate anticipatory steps, including to handle sellers who are looking for big profits and mafia who toys with food price in market.
"After HET price has been set and we do some persuasive steps, Jakarta will become a standard and Cipinang will be set as adjustment in price," he closed.
